We had a Student Council meeting a few weeks ago to pick some dress up days for spirit week last week. The kids chose "Duct Tape" day as one of them. I have to say, I had lots of fun with this one, as did most of the kids at school.
I made this top hat for Chance. It's made with 100% Duct Tape, even the inside of the feathers.
I added some pin backs to the backs of the ties. It was more comfortable to pin them on instead of wrapping the tie around their necks.
I made this little mini top hat headband for Taylor.
Hmmm...a lot of zebra duct tape, wonder who's idea that was?? :)
Yep, the vest is all duct tape too. (I have no life!)
And my friend Ronene, the school cook, made herself an apron.
And the Tin Man stole my heart....
And won the Duct Tape Champion sash!
Fun stuff!
We had spirit week, because it was the first home High School games of the season. We only have 3 boys in high school, so the 8th graders are playing with them. We also have 2 boys playing from a nearby village, and two girls from our school. It makes for an interesting team! They played 3 games, 2 scrimmages and 1 real game. They won the scrimmages but lost the game to a team full of 6 foot 11th and 12th graders. They are going to learn a lot this season.
I leave on Wednesday for CHA. Woohoooo! Taylor is going with me. We are heading to Disneyland on Friday, then classes start on Saturday and the show opens on Sunday. We will head back to my Moms house on Tuesday evening, and stay till the following Sunday. We will get lots of friend time and family time, and I will be teaching two classes. My "Groupie" Debbie, will be flying in from Washington just to take a class!
So excited to see my friends.
And touch some new products.
And play with little Hollister.
And use my new bag that just showed up in the mail.
I'm going to go enjoy this beautiful cold day before our next snow storm hits.
Happy Saturday!!
