Well, the leaves are on the ground, and we will have snow here within a few weeks. Each day you can see it come a little farther down the mountains that surround us. We always have snow by Halloween. It's kinda wierd, but that's life here in Alaska.
This year the theme for our Halloween Carnival is "Unhappily Ever After." So, Shad and I are going as a Day of the Dead Bride & Groom. I am bidding on a 40's vintage wedding dress on E-bay. I'm going to die it black, and paint some skull bones on it, sort of inspired by this.
And the make-up, something like this, but maybe in Reds.
Can't wait! And Shad is all onboard for the Groom.
And now for some fun crafts!
Love this gorgeous Witches Shoe by My Craft Spot.
And this would be cute for a kids party, or a classroom treat, from Parents Magazine.
Some creepy cupcakes from Lilly Vanilli.
A fun porch decoration.
And here are a few of my favorite costume ideas.
I couldn't get Shad to go for this one. I think we would have been super cute Minions!
Shad is gone to Valdez doing some Marine Fire Fighter Training this week. I don't like being home alone. Something always goes wrong. Stuff hit the fan early today, so I'm hoping the next few days will be a cake walk. (fingers crossed!)
Have a good week.
