I got an e-mail from the Glitz Girls a few weeks back, and at the end of it was this great tutorial for paper flowers. They had them all over their booth at CHA, and all of us were drooling over them. So I had a little extra time (haha) on my hands yesterday, so I decided I would make a few.
You'll need:
2x12 strip of paper
4x4 square of paper
Water Spray bottle
Glue Gun
Headband (optional)
Lightly spritz both side of your paper.
Roll the paper into a sort of tube shape, lengthwise.
Start curling the end.
Add some hot glue to the center of the square piece of paper. Continue wrapping the paper around in a circle, adding hot glue as you go.
Once you are done, finish the end off with glue.
Every flower I have made, looks very different. I used 3 different thicknesses of paper, and they all worked great.
Now Cut out your flower. This was white core paper, so I inked the edges with some black ink. I made another flower, the same size, and cut it out also.
I added Bling to the center of each of the flowers.
Then I added the flowers to a black headband. The next time I make these, I will add the flowers to a piece of felt, I think that will finish it off a little nicer.
And there you go! This took less than 10 minutes from start to finish
So then I made another, with some vintage music note paper. I made one flower, then added another strip to make it a little larger.
And then I made this one for Taylor. I added one of Heidi Swapps Giant Brads to the center of the purple flower. I also made the green flowers a little smaller.
This was about 30 minutes total time. Such a quick little project. I made another flower and added a bit of tulle to it, you'll see it on Friday on one of my cards. Hope you enjoyed...I cerntainly enjoyed making them!

I wondered how they made those. I need to give it a try.

Very cute, I tried these but something just wasn't right, I guess it's the water trick. Will try that for sure :) Thanks!
