It has been 22 months since I taught my last class. That's a long time. This weekend I had my first class at The Scrappy Stamper. I can't tell you how much fun I had! It was a full house, and they came from near and far. Two ladies came from 3 hours away, and another came all the way from Illinois!
Hi Kim, I enjoyed meeting you and your sweet Grand Baby!
If you are anywhere near Lewis County, you MUST stop by and say hello to the ladies at The Scrappy Stamper. They always have at least 3 people working the store, so there is always someone there to help you. And they have a great classroom, and lots of talented teachers! I couldn't believe how busy they were all morning, this is the place to be!
I am blessed to have the Best Friend in the world! Cindy came and helped me with my class, and I couldn't have asked for a better assistant. While I was cleaning up things, she went and got us lunch from the Quesadilla Factory. OMG! They serve them in a Pizza Box, and they are huge! You pick the kind of tortilla that you want, and all the toppings, mmm so yummy. We shared one, and couldn't finish it. Wish I'd thought to pull out my camera and take a picture. When we were finished with lunch we headed out on a road trip to Tacoma for a little girls day out. More about that tomorrow.
On Sunday morning Shad and I went out grocery shopping. As we were leaving the store I noticed two ladies with a sign for free kittens. We went over a played with all seven of them, but I have a fondness for grey kitties. I fell for the tiniest one of the bunch. We didn't get it, and drove 15 miles home, put the groceris away, and mentioned to Tay that we almost got a kitten. She begged us to go back and get it. Shad and I looked at each other and got back in the car and drove back to the store to see if the kittens were still there. When we pulled up, Shad asked if they still had the grey one, and the lady said no, that was the only one that was gone. Just then, this little white car pulled up, and this girl got out and handed the grey kitten back to the lady. She thought her Mom might get mad. So we snagged the kitten and headed home. I named him Bodie. It was the first name that popped into my head. One of our favorite Patrick Swayze movies was Point Break, and the character he played was Bodie. This kitty is so small, he weighs only 1.0 pound. I enjoyed playing with him today while Tay was at school. We did a little photo shoot. He loves the Momarazzi!
He's been here for a day and a half, and I've already taken over 100 pictures of him! LOL I'm always looking for a new subject.
I'd like to give a little Toot to Rebecca. One of her pages is on the Sassafrass Blog. Her layout is the second one from the top. And she also has one at Posh Designs. Way to go Rebecca!
